Mass walls faced with high-density foam deliver measurable performance and intangible benefits.  The energy features - continuous high-R insulation, high thermal mass, near-zero air infiltration - virtually remove the walls from the load calculation.  Sound reduction, draft elimination, consistent temperature, and the lack of wall movement create an interior experience with no "background noise."  Occupants describe it as an environment that "just feels solid."


Curved walls.  Irregular angles and openings.  The construction medium of the insulated concrete form is foam, not wood or concrete.  And foam is readily manipulated into the form you choose.  Only after this form is complete is the reinforced concrete inserted and the mass wall solidified. TF's vertical systems TransForm and ThermoForm are inherently more flexible than block based ICF systems. Instead of design limitations imposed by the dimensions of the block system used, the vertical systems from TF are as flexible as any frame based construction. You put the windows, doors, wall heights, corners and architectural features where you want them without the compromises of set block dimensions.

Contractor Performance
TF Forming Systems bring traditional construction simplicity to mass wall construction.  By historical accident, the design of other insulated concrete forms was modeled after the concrete block.  The results are systems that require a relatively large number of special purpose parts and large amounts of specialized labor and equipment.  TransForm and the ThermoForm System® are more closely modeled after conventional concrete formwork.  The result is a smaller number of more general-purpose parts, lower learning and labor requirements, and less equipment.  This facilitates the speed of construction, minimizes field errors, and supports contractor flexibility.
